Hyflo® Super Cel® may be used for the separation of mucopolysachharides by electrophoresis. It may be employed as filter aid during the preparation of protein renin isolated from horse plasma.

Product Procedure: 

Filter aid, Celite Hyflo Super-cel« is used as a filtration agent, a functional filler in paints, plastics, paper, rubber, adhesives, catalysts, agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other chemicals, and a mild abrasive in polishes and cleaners.

Product Note: 

Calcined diatomaceous earth has been treated at a temperature above 1500F to agglomerate the exoskeletons of the diatoms in order to create a range of permeabilities for better filtering agents. While it is used primarily as a fine filter aid, it has many other uses.
